We offer flexible, strengths-based support for autistic adults (diagnosed, awaiting diagnosis, or self-identifying) in Derbyshire. Our fully funded service is designed by autistic people, for autistic people, providing 1-2-1 coaching and group training courses to help you build confidence, develop self-advocacy skills, and manage daily life in a way that works for you. Eligible participants can access our services at no cost.

What You Can Expect

Referral
Referrals can be made by healthcare professionals, social workers, VCSE organisations, or individuals themselves. Once received, we respond within 48 hours to confirm eligibility and next steps. We ensure a simple, accessible process, allowing autistic individuals to access the support they need quickly and efficiently.

Assessment
Following referral, a qualified specialist conducts a holistic assessment within 10 working days. This explores individual needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring a personalised support plan. Assessments identify whether 1-2-1 coaching, group training, or a combination of both is most suitable, creating a tailored approach to empowerment and skill development.

1-1 Support
Our 1-2-1 support provides person-centred coaching for up to 12 weeks, tailored to individual needs. Delivered by experienced professionals, sessions focus on executive function, sensory management, resilience, confidence-building, and crisis management. Support is flexible, available online or over the telephone, and designed to empower autistic adults and young people 16+ with practical strategies to navigate daily life with greater independence.

6 Week Training Course
Designed for autistic people and their families, support networks & carers. Sessions are co-produced with autistic mentors, ensuring accessibility and practical learning. Participants gain knowledge, skills, and confidence in a supportive environment. Sessions are also offered for young autistic people aged 16-18 yrs. The course offers 2 hour weekly sessions for 6 weeks and cover the following topics:
- Understanding Autism & Self-Identity
- Assertiveness & Communication
- Executive Function & Daily Management Skills
- Sensory Profiles & Reasonable Adjustments
- Managing. Rejection Sensitivity & Developing a Growth Mindset
- Community Support & Knowing Your Rights
